This violin was made when Mrs Florrie Cunningham and her husband, David, went down to work on the road from Hobart to the West Coast. Their son, Lindsay, remained in Circular Head with his grandmother, so that he could go to school. David Cunningham built this violin using handsaw, chisel, pocket knife, rasp, sandpaper and glue. Timbers used were King Billy pine, red myrtle and white myrtle.
